NeuronBank Central (the Meta-Server) provides functionality the binds together the
BranchKBs into a coherent framework.
Specifically, it provides a single entry point into NeuronBank, a
directory of available resources and ontologies, cross-Branch search facilties,
and cross-Branch credentials and user profiles.
The meta-server is being implemented as a set of Java-based application
that collects information about users and Branches and provide this information
back to
clients and Branches through web services.
Currently, only the cross-Branch credential
system has been implemented.
