  • located centrally on ventral surface of pedal ganglion
  • axon in nerve p2

Electrophysiological properties

  • resting potential approx -40mV
  • action potentials approx 40mv
  • Prolonged high frequency bursting activity time-locked with bursting on nerve nerve 2.
  • increased firing in response to illumination
