CC9/CC10 is a cerebral interneuron in Aplysia californica.

Basic information

  • Alias- n/a
  • Neurotransmitter: Serotonin

CC9/CC10 are a pair of neurons located bilaterally within the C cluster in each hemisphere of the cerebral ganglion. Because they are both serotonregic, are both located adjacent to one another, and are similar in anatomy, they are referred to as a pair instead of as individual neurons.

Location of CC9/CC10 with respect to other identified cerebral ganglion cells. Arrow points to an unidentified cell. (Jing et al, 2008)
