Cochlea Hair Cell is a neuron located in the cochlea in mammals.

There are two types of cochlea hair cells, outside hair cells and inside hair cells. They both assist in the process of relaying sound to the brain. These cells are found in a small area in the cochlea called the organ of Corti. Anywhere from 17,500-23,500 hair cells can be found in the human ear. Each cell is covered by special structures called stereocilia, a primary structure used in sound tranduction.
