S-Cells

The S-Cells are sensory neurons in Tritonia. They form a cluster of about 80 neurons in the anterior pleural ganglion.

The S-cells were first identified by Getting in 1976 <ref name="Getting76"> Getting PA (1976) Afferent neurons mediating escape swimming of the marine mollusc, Tritonia. J Comp Physiol 110:271-286. Tri0002375</ref>
